Beeping Watches I received NUMEROUS emails asking me about my "beeping" watches. I do NOT receive a dime from either of these companies, I'm just passing along the information based on MY opinion of these watches because I use them both and have found them to be very helpful with my run:walk method. I have two watches that have the "beeping" function. One is made by Nike. It's a Nike TRIAX 42. I LOVE this watch. It's VERY easy to figure out, very stylish. I wear it for everyday use cuz it looks great. It runs about 100.00 You can order it online at www.nike.com Or wherever they sale Nike products. The TIMEX watch I use is Model #66801. It's much larger than my Nike watch and is a harder to figure out how to operate in the beginning, BUT, the "beeps" are MUCH louder and longer so I like it better ESPECIALLY in a race where the noise level is a factor. PLUS the Timex watch is about 50.00 -60.00 I bought mine at Target but you can also buy it online at www.timex.com If you interested in purchasing one of these or would like more information, please take a look at Jeff Galloway's Web Site at www.runinjuryfree.com. How to Program Timex Ironman TO SET: Push the "MODE" button two times,(located on the lower left side of the watch). After pressing the "MODE" button twice you'll see the word TIMER displayed. Push the "SET" button (located on the lower right side of the watch). Push the "RECALL" button (located on the upper right side of the watch). Push the "RECALL" button until the "C" appears (it will be flashing). Push the Start/Split button to Set INT 1. Push the same button (Start/Split) until minutes
are flashing. Push "RECALL" button until you get the time you want. Push Start/Split until INT 2 appears. Push "RECALL" to add minutes (Stop/Reset decreases minutes) Push the "SET" button TO START The Countdown Timer: Push the Start/Split silver button. Int 1 counts
down the time, beeps at the end. Int 2 starts. At the end of the Int 2
time segment, the watch beeps and restarts Int 1. The CHRONO Feature is used to keep track of your minute per mile pace. The TIMER feature is used specifically for your run/walk segments. INT 1 is for your run segment. Set INT 1 for how many minutes you want to run. INT 2 is for your walk segment. Set INT 2 for the number of minutes you want to use for your walk break. These are TWO SEPARATE FUNCTIONS. You can start
the CHRONO feature at the beginning of your workout, and then after starting
the CHRONO feature you can push the MODE button to get into the TIMER
feature for your run/walk intervals
